The Bottom Bracket Poem
This is where it all happens.
Why is it called a bottom bracket?
It looks more like an axle for a bike.
A bracket is like something hanging out of a wall that you can hang things from.
A bottom bracket is an axle sticking out of the bike that you can hang the crank and pedals from.
It is one of the sexiest things on the bike. Of course, you have to be a bike nerd to think an axle that a part that can barely be seen underneath the chainrings and pedals
is nice.
In this case, the appeal comes from being solid and strong.
